Job Description
The Management Accountant will play a key role within the finance team of R&J Strang. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role will look to assist in improving financial visibility across the organisation and identify areas of overspend. They will also be responsible for in maintaining the integrity of Income Statement for R&J Strang and provide insightful and timely financial reporting to help aid decision making.
Key Responsibilties
- Assist in production of monthly management accounts, annual budgets and ad hoc reporting.
- Continually monitor and analyse cost centres and types, looking for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Assist with stock take procedures and monitoring
- Complete ICO balance and other balance sheet reconciliations including accruals and prepayments
- Continually review, update and test controls to ensure Conti standards are met within the RJS finance team
- Complete quarterly VAT reconciliations and submissions
- Assist and liaise with external auditors
- Day-to-day banking administration
- Expense claim management
- Support FC in ad-hoc projects and tasks
Qualifications
- Newly Qualified or Part Qualified accountant
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Strong attention to detail and problem solver
- Experience of SAP and CAM desirable but not essential
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
