BIM Engineer - Building Structures

Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical BIM Engineer - Building Structures to join our organization in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models for structural components of complex construction projects. You will work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery through advanced BIM technologies and methodologies.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive BIM models for building structures using industry-standard software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications
• Perform clash detection and coordinate structural elements with MEP systems to identify and resolve conflicts before construction
• Create detailed technical documentation, construction drawings, and specifications from BIM models for field implementation
• Analyze structural design requirements and translate them into organized, buildable BIM components and assemblies
• Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure BIM models support project objectives and construction sequencing
• Manage model organization, naming conventions, and data integrity to maintain efficient project workflows
• Prepare quantity takeoffs, material schedules, and cost estimates from BIM models to support project planning
• Conduct BIM quality assurance reviews and implement corrective measures to maintain model standards
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical support to project teams
• Stay current with building codes, standards, and best practices in structural BIM engineering

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional experience in BIM engineering, structural design, or related construction technology roles
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, ArchiCAD, or comparable BIM software platforms
• Strong knowledge of building structures, structural systems, and construction methodologies
• Demonstrated expertise in 3D modeling, clash detection, and coordination workflows
• Solid understanding of building codes, standards, and structural design principles
• Proficiency with CAD software and technical documentation practices
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (architects, MEP engineers, contractors)
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality deliverables
• Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience with MEP coordination and integrated project delivery
• Knowledge of quantity takeoff and construction sequencing
• Familiarity with Revit API, customization, or plugin development
• Understanding of Lean construction principles and BIM-based project delivery methods
• Experience with construction management software and project collaboration platforms
