A Snapshot

As the Finance Manager, you will be reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, and working closely with the rest of the Financial Control team based in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Hong Kong and Japan, making an impact in a number of ways:

• Review and, where require, perform financial accounting and controlling duties.
• Lead and manage the year-end financial statement close process for operations in the region.
• Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and regional statutory reporting requirements, including managing external audits and relevant statistical reports.
• Manage regional income tax compliance obligations, including project execution of special purpose studies with tax consultants.
• Lead and manage the regional financing arrangements on covenant reporting and various other information undertakings.
• Support reporting to joint venture partners, investors, government authorities and other stakeholders.
• Assist with other ad-hoc assignments and duties as required.

Your Day to Day

• Responsible for the financial reporting requirement of the Group’s operations – including but not limited to managing the Group’s financial year end close as well and local and regional audits.
• Performing and overseeing financial accounting and controlling duties such as preparation of monthly financial reports, accounting journals.
• Responsible for supporting improvement in the financial control policies and processes, determining and driving the strategy of how they continue to scale and transform globally as we continue to grow existing locations, add in new locations and work closely with the Finance leadership team to solve our most complex cross-functional challenges.
• Collaborate closely with Finance teams, including Finance Operations, FP&A (Commercial Finance), and Tax, as well as cross-functional stakeholders such as Legal, Corporate Development, Treasury, and project teams, to develop and implement accounting solutions for complex business transactions.
• Lead and manage a team, providing coaching, guidance and leadership support to drive performance, ensure high quality deliverables and support ongoing professional development.
• Assist with other ad hoc projects and duties as required.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA equivalent) or related discipline.

• Min. 10 years of hands-on experience in month-end close, statutory and group reporting, financial control experience within multinational or high-growth organisations (prior big 4 audit experience is advantageous).

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

• Experience in accounting analysis and application of accounting standards to complex transactions.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to tackle complex challenges.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.

• Detail oriented and proactive problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Proven ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and ever-changing environment.
