Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our Hägglunds division, based at our Regency Park, SA branch.

This is a hands-on role responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining and servicing Hägglunds hydraulic drive systems across a diverse range of customer sites. Working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, you will deliver high-quality technical solutions that minimise downtime, maximise equipment performance, and provide exceptional customer service.

What you will be doing

Field Service & Maintenance: Respond to customer service and breakdown requests, perform on-site inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance, and conduct system testing to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

Installation & Commissioning: Install, commission and modernise Hägglunds hydraulic drive systems and associated equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Diagnostics & Technical Support: Perform hydraulic fault finding, product analysis and testing, prepare detailed service reports, and provide expert technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.

Customer Service & Aftermarket Support: Build strong customer relationships by providing technical advice, identifying repair and spare parts opportunities, preparing service quotations, and delivering professional service that supports ongoing customer satisfaction.

Documentation & Quality: Maintain accurate service documentation, including service reports, vendor quotations and delivery records, coordinate parts required for service activities, and ensure all work complies with Bosch Rexroth quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
  • Trade qualified with a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent mechanical trade qualification.
  • Previous experience in field service and/or hydraulic system maintenance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems and fault-finding.
  • High attention to safety, quality and detail.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
