Burns Engineering is looking to add a Talent Acquisition Specialist to their Human Resources Team in Philadelphia, PA

SUMMARY

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will assist in the design and implementation of creative and effective recruiting strategies to meet current and future business needs. As a recruiting subject matter expert, you will consult with the HR Manager and hiring managers to navigate the complexities of the recruiting process. You will be responsible for filling simultaneous requisitions utilizing active and passive candidate sourcing techniques. You will lead student programs/university relations and contribute to social media recruiting content to promote Burns Engineering as an employer of choice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the full life cycle of the recruiting process including but not limited to sourcing, screening, qualifying, and interviewing qualified candidates.
  • Source candidates through multiple channels including Internet sourcing, job board postings, niche sites, networking/referrals, cold calling, and etc.
  • Work closely with hiring managers and the HR Manager to develop specific search criteria, and coordinate the recruiting process ensuring timely action, cost effective strategies, and professional and positive contacts for all candidates.
  • Contribute to, and monitor social media presence to promote the Burns employment brand
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and recruitment best practices.
  • Track and communicate recruiting metrics including but not limited to: time-to-fill, diversity hiring, agency spend and recruiting source effectiveness.
  • Support and implement diversity initiatives across the company; actively seek sources of diverse candidates and foster working relationships with key groups and individuals to improve corporate diversity.
  • Lead and/or participate in student internship/co-op programs, university relations, and on-campus recruitment.
  • Participate at job fairs/tradeshows; networking events, social networking, etc.
  • Establish strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and educate the business on recruiting best practices and market trends.
  • Effectively interface with internal and external candidates to ensure they are evaluated appropriately and treated in a consistently positive and professional manner.
  • Participate in external industry events and conferences to identify potential candidates for the Burn’s talent pipeline.
  • Maintain the Burns pipeline of passive and active candidates.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Burns succession plan.
  • Assist in retention strategy development including employee morale events.
  • Member of Burns employee engagement committees.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or equivalent education. 8-10 years of proven success in the professional service recruitment and retention strategies, preferably within the engineering and construction industry.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • PHR strongly preferred
  • AIRS certification strongly preferred
  • LinkedIn Professional Recruiter certification strongly preferred
