QA Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Engineer to ensure the quality of mobile applications (iOS and Android) and deliver a reliable, user-focused product within a complex system landscape.
You will work on a solution that enables users to create interactive 3D building models using smartphone cameras. The product relies on image capture, validation, and visual data processing, making mobile and media-content testing essential.
Strong communication and the ability to work in a fast-changing environment are critical for this role, along with a strong QA mindset, analytical thinking, exploratory testing, and structured problem-solving.
Working Hours: 1pm - 10pm EET, 8-hour working day with a lunch break.
 

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of mobile apps (iOS, Android) on real devices
• Validate media workflows (photo capture, image quality, visual data for 3D modeling)
• Act as a user advocate, validating end-to-end product behavior and usability
• Identify functional, visual, and edge-case defects across environments
• Investigate defects using logs, tools, and reproducible scenarios in collaboration with engineering teams
• Maintain test documentation (test cases, scenarios) aligned with requirements
• Contribute to test planning and coverage (including regression scope and high-risk areas)
• Support automation via BDD (e.g. Gherkin) and third-party testing services (e.g. Mobot)
• Apply risk-based testing and shift-left practices: prioritize testing, clarify requirements, and prevent defects early

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in manual testing with strong understanding of QA fundamentals
• Mobile testing experience (iOS/Android, real devices). Familiarity with web application testing
• Experience in media/content validation workflows
• Strong analytical thinking, exploratory testing, and systematic problem solving
• Experience in debugging and investigating issues in collaboration with engineering teams (logs, tools, reproducible scenarios)
• Experience in test planning, including defining coverage, regression scope, and risk areas
• Ability to test complex systems end-to-end
• Comfortable using LLMs as a testing and analysis tool  
• Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset that champions the end-user experience and proactively identifies usability issues
• Strong communication skills, independence, teamwork and proactive participation in discussions

Nice‑to‑have

• Understanding of automation strategies, including BDD and Gherkin‑based approaches
• Experience coordinating testing via third‑party services (e.g. device‑ or robotics‑based testing)
• Experience in domains related to 3D content, visual data, construction, or insurance
