We're seeking an experienced, collaborative Senior Data Operations Associate to join our growing Operations team. Reporting directly to the Director of Sub-accounting, you'll take ownership of data accuracy and integrity across our systems—recording notices, resolving data gaps with clients and counterparties, and serving as a subject matter resource for the daily data flows that underpin Hamsa's Unified Ledger.
This is a high-impact role for someone who brings operational depth, thrives in a team environment, and is ready to help shape and scale data processes in a fast-moving fintech. You'll partner closely with senior team members , collaborate with fellow Data Operations Associates on day-to-day planning, and act as a central point of coordination across operations, technology, and client-facing functions.
Responsibilities
Accurately record, validate, and audit incoming Fund Information data notices, updates, and transactions in Hamsa's systems, leveraging both manual workflows and AI tooling.
Own the end-to-end resolution of missing or incomplete data—proactively coordinating with clients, transfer agents, custodians, and other industry parties, and partnering with the Director of Subaccounting on complex or escalated cases.
Lead daily data reconciliations and quality checks, identifying root causes of recurring discrepancies and collaborating with senior leaders to drive systemic fixes.
Serve as a first-line resource for data issues, exercising sound judgment on prioritization and working in close partnership with the Director of Subaccounting to resolve issues effectively.
Maintain and improve organized records, logs, and exception tracking across data notices and follow-ups.
Collaborate with Operations functions (Trading, Reconciliation, Reporting) to ensure seamless data flow and proactively surface cross-functional dependencies.
Contribute, recommend and maintain process documentation, automation workflows, SOPs, and quality control checklists—continuously improving efficiency and reducing error rates.
Mentor junior team members, provide guidance on data standards, and support onboarding as the team grows.
Partner with fellow Data Operations Associates to coordinate workflows, share best practices, and contribute to team-level planning and prioritization.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and periodic on-site work in Dallas to coordinate with colleagues.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in data operations, fund administration, transfer agency, omnibus/sub-accounting, reconciliation, or related financial services operations roles.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, drive issues to resolution, and work in close collaboration with senior stakeholders.
Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of maintaining high data accuracy at scale.
Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable interfacing directly with clients, counterparties, and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; working knowledge of SQL, dashboards, or reconciliation tooling strongly preferred. Familiarity with automation workflows or AI-assisted data processing is a plus.
