Principal Solution Architect (Financial Services)

Job Description

Are you ready to join the forefront of technology as a Principal Solution Architect in Netcompany? 

Joining us as a Principal Solution Architect, you will lead the technical direction of the Core Banking business unit and act as the senior architectural voice across the Financial Services delivery unit.

As a Principal Solution Architect you will:

• Own the target architecture for the Core Banking re-platforming. Choose the technology stack, define the architectural patterns, and design the migration approach.
• Partner with the Financial Services delivery teams as well as Sales teams on presales activities. Lead technical workshops with potential clients, translate the client's functional and non-functional requirements into a technical solution and actively participate on on-site discussions with potential clients.
• Continuously investigate new technologies, frameworks and patterns relevant to financial services  (e.g modern cloud platforms, real-time payments architectures, AI/ML application in banking) and run various PoCs (Proof of Concepts) in order to develop architectural concepts for new initiatives.
• Set engineering standars for the Unit. Lead the architecture council, establish lightweight processes for architectural decisions, mentor senior engineers and technically lead on architectural thinking. 

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

• 10+ years in software architecture with at least 5 years in financial services.
• Demonstrable track record of architecting a banking system or comparable platform.
• Presales and client-facing architecture experience.
• Experience in leading a legacy-to-modern modernization in financial services.
• Strong technical communication : Excellent at producing clear architectural documentation and comfortable in presenting to engineers and bank executives.
• Hands-on credibility : Can still read code, prototype concepts and engage at the level of technical detail when required.
• Familiarity with modern stacks like Java, .NET, modern relational and NoSQL databases, Kafka, Kubernetes, and common cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
