Automotive Designer ( m/w/d )

Job Description

We're looking for a talented and innovative Automotive Designer to join our design team in Pune, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling vehicle designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into production-ready designs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and innovation.

• Develop and conceptualize vehicle interior designs using advanced design tools
• Project Management of Design Projects
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform design direction and identify emerging automotive trends
• Collaborate with sales ,engineering, product development, and manufacturing teams ( internally and externally )to ensure design feasibility and compliance with technical requirements
• Create designs based on feedback from stakeholders, design reviews, and performance testing results
• Ensure all designs meet company design guidelines
• Prepare and present design concepts to leadership and cross-functional teams using renderings and prototypes
• Stay current with industry trends, design software advancements, and automotive design best practices
• Participate in design workshops internally and externally and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative surface solutions regarding color and color effects ,grain , gloss and haptic
• Document design decisions and maintain organized design files and project records

Qualifications

• Experience in textil or product design , color coloristic and meassurement methods , ability to validate and finetune colors
• 1-2 years of professional experience in automotive design or related design discipline
• project management skills
• Solid understanding of automotive design principles, vehicle dynamics, and design standards
• Knowledge of design software and rendering tools for visualization and presentation
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate design concepts effectively
• Experience with design thinking methodologies and prototyping processes
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in English for technical communication and documentation , basis knowledge in German is appreciated
• Preferred: Experience with digital design tools, animation software, or virtual reality applications in automotive design
