Job Description
We are seeking an Associate IT Consultant for our Service Desk team in Timișoara, Romania. In this role, you will serve as a first-line technical support professional, providing efficient and customer-focused IT assistance to our organization's end users. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues while maintaining a professional and supportive demeanor. This position requires fluent German language skills to support our diverse client base.
- Provide first-level technical support to end users via phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
- Document all support interactions accurately in the ticketing system and maintain detailed records
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior support staff or specialized teams when necessary
- Assist with user onboarding and provide technical guidance on company systems and applications
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and system updates as directed
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users in a patient and supportive manner
- Maintain a professional demeanor while managing multiple support requests and prioritizing workload
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve service desk processes
- Follow established IT policies, procedures, and security protocols
Qualifications
- Fluent German language skills (written and verbal); English proficiency is also required
- Proven experience in IT service desk, help desk, or technical support roles
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic IT infrastructure
- Experience with ticketing systems and service desk management tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies
- Preferred: ITIL certification or foundational knowledge of IT Service Management
- Preferred: Experience with remote support tools and enterprise systems
- Preferred: Additional language capabilities beyond German and English
