Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor – Hydraulics to lead our Internal Service team in our Malaga branch.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hydraulic service workshop while supporting technicians, driving operational performance, and ensuring exceptional customer outcomes.
Working closely with the WA Service Manager, Service Sales team, and External Service Supervisors, you will play a key role in delivering high quality hydraulic repairs, maintaining workshop efficiency, developing your team, and supporting continued business growth.
What you will be doing
Workshop Leadership: Lead, coach and support the Internal Service Workshop team by coordinating daily activities, allocating work, mentoring technicians, conducting toolbox talks, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.
Operations & Performance: Coordinate workshop jobs, monitor workflow and technician utilisation, review daily times, maintain workshop efficiency, and drive productivity, profitability and service delivery to achieve operational targets.
Customer & Business Development: Provide technical support to customers, build strong customer relationships, identify aftermarket service opportunities, promote maintenance contracts and service solutions, and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
Safety, Quality & Compliance: Champion a safe and compliant workplace by maintaining workshop standards, ensuring compliance with HSE and quality requirements, supporting audits, maintaining technician competencies, licences and equipment registers, overseeing calibration requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Trade qualified with a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent mechanical trade qualification.
- Minimum five years' experience working with hydraulic systems and equipment.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a workshop or service team.
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems and workshop operations.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
- Excellent leadership, communication and customer relationship skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
