Job Description

We are seeking a high-calibre business development person to drive membership growth and build lasting relationships with senior executives across Queensland.

As Membership Manager, you will be the key driver of new member acquisition — identifying opportunities, securing high-value relationships and partnerships, and ensuring that every interaction reflects our premium positioning in the market. This is a role for a confident, strategic sales professional who thrives in building trust with executive decision-makers and closing business at the highest level.

You’ll combine a sharp commercial mindset with a genuine ability to connect, influence, and deliver results. You’ll be backed by a respected international brand, a clear value proposition, and a collaborative team, but the drive and success will come from you.

What You’ll Do

  1. Proactively source and convert new members through strategic outreach, networking, and targeted business development initiatives
  2. Build and maintain influential relationships with CEOs, senior executives, and key decision-makers
  3. Leverage market insights to shape compelling membership growth strategies
  4. Represent The CEO Institute at events, industry forums, and networking opportunities
  5. Collaborate with the national leadership team to meet and exceed growth targets

Qualifications

About You

  1. A proven track record of exceeding sales and business development targets, ideally within industries such as member organisations, professional development, professional services or executive recruitment
  2. Highly skilled in engaging, influencing, and closing business with senior leaders at Executive/C-suite level
  3. Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and the ability to spot opportunities others miss
  4. Comfortable working autonomously, with the energy and discipline to deliver consistently strong results
  5. Professional, confident, and credible with a mature approach to relationship management
  6. Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot highly regarded)
  7. Willingness to travel for client meetings and events
