Position Overview
This position combines responsibilities from two roles: a 0.50 FTE Nutrition and Culinary Manager and a 0.50 FTE Registered Dietitian Float.
The Nutrition and Culinary Manager is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of nutrition and culinary services, food budget, performance management, staffing, training, and development of the nutrition and culinary team at their assigned location.
The Registered Dietitian Float delivers nutrition therapy to clients in intensive programming by performing nutrition assessments, creating personalized care plans, monitoring ongoing medical and nutritional conditions, and tracking client progress. Additionally, the dietitian provides nutrition education to enhance clients' nutritional health and their relationship with food. This position requires flexibility to provide coverage for various locations and departments based on operational needs. Employees in this role will support multiple sites or departments within the organization to ensure high-quality client care and efficient operations.
Schedule
- Work schedules are flexible and will be coordinated based on site needs.
- Will collaborate with the Registered Dietitian team and site leadership team to ensure adequate coverage of programming hours.
- Coverage may be scheduled during program operating hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Compensation Disclosure
- $80,000 - $128,000/year
Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position
How Nutrition and Culinary Managers Empower Recovery
- Oversees the accurate and appropriate delivery of evidence-based, corporate, and industry best-practice nutrition and culinary services at assigned location.
- Promotes client adequate nutrition state and eating competency.
- Ensures fidelity to corporate standards of care, policies and procedures, and external regulations.
- Participates as a member of site leadership (at assigned locations) and corporate nutrition leadership teams.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders in the identification, development, implementation, and/or evaluation of initiatives, policies, and procedures, as assigned/requested.
- Manages and adheres to the site food budget, where applicable.
- Manages hiring, and training of nutrition and culinary team members (delegates to Nutrition Lead or Culinary Supervisor, as appropriate).

- Performs other duties as assigned.
How Registered Dietitians Empower Recovery
- Provide guidance and coaching during individual client and family meals when clinically indicated, promoting healthy eating behaviors, and addressing disordered eating patterns.

- Provide tailored nutrition therapy to all assigned clients.
- Conduct nutrition assessments for assigned clients in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Deliver group nutrition education sessions as assigned.
- Actively participate in meal coaching and support for clients and their families or support communities, including involvement in Therapeutic Supported Meals/Snacks when appropriate.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary case conceptualization and the development of treatment plans.
- Create nutrition-specific transition and aftercare plans for all clients, ensuring coordination with both internal and external dietitians for continuity of care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Nutrition and Culinary Manager Qualifications
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Food service experience preferred.
- Licensed Dietitian in the state of employment required, if applicable
- 3 or more years’ experience as a Registered Dietitian in an eating disorder care setting (outpatient/private practice, residential, etc.) required.
- > 6 months as a Nutrition Lead or equivalency preferred.
Registered Dietitian Qualifications
- Current Registered Dietitian license in the state of employment required.
- Current board certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required
- Master’s Degree required, unless licensed prior to January 2024.
- DBT, CBT, FBT experience preferred.
- Eating Disorders treatment experience preferred
Other Qualifications
- Employees at Residential site in Washington are required to have a Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire.
- Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
- ServSafe Certified Food Manager certification required within 30 days of hire
