This is an opportunity to work on a highly visible, flagship account with senior executive exposure while shaping a brand’s cultural relevance and growth trajectory.

This role can be based in Washington DC, New York, Atlanta, Chicago, or Pittsburgh.

What you'll do:

Consumer Brand Strategy & Cultural Storytelling:

  • Serve as a strategic partner on consumer brand work, helping evolve positioning and drive cultural relevance with key growth audiences
  • Develop earned-first campaign ideas, media strategies and story angles that break through in a competitive landscape
  • Translate business priorities into compelling narratives that resonate beyond products and services, highlighting themes such as lifestyle, community, innovation and customer experience
  • Develop communications strategies that drive consumer awareness, engagement, adoption and long-term brand affinity
  • Create storytelling platforms that encourage audience participation, deepen engagement and support evolving consumer behaviors
  • Simplify complex programs, offerings and customer benefits into compelling, consumer-friendly narratives
  • Partner closely with senior client leads and strategy teams to bring integrated ideas to life across channels
  • Partner with integrated teams to develop communications strategies that support both digital-first experiences and high-touch customer interactions
  • Support initiatives tied to customer engagement, loyalty and long-term relationship building
  • Balance multiple workstreams while maintaining a strong, cohesive strategic voice

Earned Media & Influencer Engagement:

  • Drive proactive media strategy and outreach, identifying national, regional and vertical opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media across consumer, lifestyle, business and regional outlets
  • Lead development of press materials, pitches, thought leadership reports and creative story angles designed to generate coverage and conversation
  • Collaborate with strategy and creative partners to ensure ideas are talkable, shareable and culturally relevant
  • Identify opportunities to position the brand at the intersection of consumer trends, innovation, customer experience and marketplace relevance
  • Develop thought leadership and media strategies that elevate brand differentiation and demonstrate customer value

Client & Team Collaboration:

  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact, providing strategic counsel and executional oversight
  • Partner across a multi-disciplinary, multi-market team spanning brand, corporate, digital and strategy functions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure communications programs support broader business and brand objectives
  • Provide strategic counsel around consumer engagement initiatives, growth programs, brand reputation opportunities and market expansion efforts
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture
  • Manage timelines, deliverables and quality of output across workstreams

Experience that contributes to success:

  • 5-7 years of experience in public relations, communications or integrated marketing
  • Strong background in consumer brand PR, earned media and campaign development
  • Experience working on high-profile, multi-stakeholder accounts in an agency environment
  • Experience supporting customer engagement, loyalty, retention or relationship-building communications programs is highly desired
  • Proven ability to develop creative, culturally relevant earned media ideas

  • Highly collaborative with the ability to work across distributed teams and multiple senior stakeholders
  • Strong writing, storytelling and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with brand repositioning or perception-shift campaigns
