We are partnering with a leading organisation to hire a Software Engineer – AI, APIs & Cloud (Product Engineer) to design, develop, and deliver MVPs and production-ready digital solutions across APIs, AI, telecommunications platforms, and enterprise ecosystems.

This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for taking ideas and use cases from concept through to working prototypes and production-ready products. You will work closely with technology leadership, product teams, API platform engineers, AI engineers, DevSecOps, security teams, and external partners to build innovative digital capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a strong builder who enjoys coding, experimenting with new technologies, solving complex integration challenges, and delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & MVP Engineering

• Design, develop, and deliver MVPs from concept to working product.

• Translate business requirements and customer use cases into technical solutions.

• Own end-to-end engineering delivery, including solution design, coding, API development, integration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.

• Build scalable software components that can evolve into production products.

• Rapidly prototype new ideas and validate technical feasibility.

API & Backend Engineering

• Develop secure and scalable API-driven applications.

• Build backend services using technologies such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.

• Develop REST APIs, OpenAPI specifications, microservices, and event-driven integrations.

• Integrate enterprise platforms, cloud services, and external partner APIs.

• Build reusable components and frameworks.

Agentic AI & AI Product Engineering

• Develop MVPs and prototypes using Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies.

• Build AI-enabled applications using LLMs, SLMs, AI agents, AI workflows, Tool Calling, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Develop integrations where AI agents securely interact with APIs, enterprise systems, and digital services.

• Experiment with AI frameworks and convert successful prototypes into production-ready products.

Telecom API & Digital Platform Solutions

• Develop solutions leveraging telecom and enterprise capabilities.

• Build integrations for digital services including:

  • Identity verification (Number Verify, SIM Swap)

  • Authentication

  • Device intelligence

  • Digital trust services based on eSIM/SIM

  • Enterprise automation

• Support development using telecom API ecosystems such as GSMA Open Gateway, CAMARA, and TM Forum APIs.

Cloud-Native Engineering & Deployment

• Build and deploy cloud-native applications.

• Work with Kubernetes, containers, microservices, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to deploy and operate solutions.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and operational best practices.

Technology Experimentation

• Build prototypes and evaluate emerging technologies.

• Explore AI platforms, digital identity solutions, security technologies, secrets management, cryptography, and quantum-safe security concepts.

• Identify opportunities for future product adoption.

Partner Integration & Technical Collaboration

• Work with technology partners and vendors on integrations.

• Participate in technical workshops and solution demonstrations.

• Support partner onboarding and technical validation.

• Provide engineering feedback during product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.

• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.

• Proven experience building and delivering software products or MVPs.

• Strong experience in backend development, API development, microservices, cloud-native applications, and enterprise integrations.

• Experience taking solutions from idea → prototype → production.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and deliver production-quality software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI-powered applications.

• Exposure to Agentic AI frameworks, LLM applications, MCP, RAG, and AI automation workflows.

• Experience with telecom platforms, APIs, or enterprise systems.

• Experience with API management platforms.

• Exposure to digital identity and cybersecurity concepts.

• Interest in emerging technologies such as quantum-safe security and cryptographic technologies.
