Job Description
This is a great opportunity to join Fastmarkets at an exciting point in our learning journey. As part of a newly forming L&D team, you’ll play a key role in building and shaping how learning works across the business - helping us create a brilliant, modern employee experience from the ground up.
Working closely with the Global Head of Learning & Development and teams across the business, you’ll be hands-on in bringing our learning offer to life. That includes owning our brand-new Learning Management System, supporting the roll-out of engaging blended programmes, and creating digital content that truly connects with people.
This role sits right at the heart of everything we’re building - bringing together operations, content, and innovation. There’s a real opportunity to get involved in thinking about how we use new tools, including AI, to help employees map their careers and take more ownership of their development.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
LMS Administration
- Play a key role in shaping the employee learning experience as we roll out our new LMS, Cornerstone on Demand), ensuring its intuitive, engaging and adds real value
- Own day-to-day administration of the LMS, including the configuration and management of learning events, curricula, assignments, and user groups.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date learning records, ensuring data integrity across the platform.
- Be our go-to expert for the LMS, troubleshooting, supporting users and continually improving the platform experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve LMS issues, acting as the first point of contact for technical queries and user support.
- Collaborate with IT and system administrators to ensure the LMS is functioning optimally and aligned with evolving business needs.
eLearning Content Creation
- Create and maintain eLearning modules using Articulate 360, ensuring content is instructionally sound, visually engaging, and accessible.
- Curate and update existing learning content in line with business changes, compliance requirements, and learner feedback.
- Develop and maintain mandatory and core eLearning content, including compliance training and other programmes.
Learner & Stakeholder Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for learning-related inquiries, requests, and troubleshooting, ensuring a timely and helpful response for employees and managers.
- Build strong working relationships with Heads of HR and functional leaders to understand and respond to development needs.
- Manage relationships with external learning suppliers and facilitators, ensuring delivery quality and coordination of contractual requirements.
Learning Data & Reporting
- Own learning data governance, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data across the LMS and associated reporting tools.
- Prepare and distribute regular training dashboard and reports for a variety of stakeholders, translating learning data into clear and actionable insights.
- Support the evaluation of learning effectiveness by tracking key metrics and contributing to impact assessments.
Training Needs Assessment & Continuous Learning Culture
- Play an active role in the formal skills and training needs assessment (TNA) process across Fastmarkets, gathering data and supporting analysis to identify capability gaps.
- Champion a culture of continuous professional development (CPD) across all levels of the organisation, helping embed CPD principles into key employee lifecycle touchpoints.
- Promote and support participation in development initiatives such as the Fastmarkets Mentorship Program and internal learning programmes.
Learning Design & Delivery
- As the role develops, support the design and execution of various learning programmes & initiatives, combining digital, virtual and in-person approaches.
- Work in partnership with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop learning solutions that are practical, engaging, and aligned with business priorities.
- Coordinate and set up on-site learning events, managing logistics, supplier relationships, and participant communication.
KEY INTERFACES
- Global Head of Learning & Development: primary reporting line and strategic direction.
- Heads of HR and broader HR team: collaboration and planning around various employee experience initiatives.
- Employees & Managers: first point of contact for learning support and development needs.
- External Learning Suppliers & Facilitators: operational coordination and quality management.
- IT & LMS staff, external vendors: system alignment, technical troubleshooting and collaboration.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.
Essential
- Proven experience in a Learning & Development role, with hands-on responsibility for LMS administration (experience with Cornerstone OnDemand is highly desirable).
- Demonstrable experience creating eLearning content using Articulate 360 or a comparable authoring tool.
- Strong data literacy, with the ability to produce accurate reports, interpret learning metrics, and present findings clearly to different audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (data management and reporting) and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a track record of taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through.
Desirable
- Experience supporting training needs analyses and translating outcomes into structured learning plans.
- Familiarity with competency frameworks and their application in a corporate environment.
- Experience coordinating in-person learning events, including supplier and logistics management.
- Knowledge of learning evaluation methodologies (e.g. Kirkpatrick model).
AI in Learning
We expect the L&D Specialist to be curious and informed about how AI tools can support adult learning, whether that is in content creation, learner personalisation, knowledge reinforcement, or workflow efficiency. Microsoft 365 Copilot is Fastmarkets' company-wide AI solution, and this role will both use it in daily work and help employees build confidence with it as a learning tool. Candidates who can think critically about where AI adds genuine value in learning design, and where human judgement remains essential, will stand out.
