Responsible Investment Associate

Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Responsible Investment Associate to support across the key pillars of the Responsible Investment Capabilities team across the execution of client management across L&G’s responsible investment (“RI”) and stewardship activities. Additionally, it will support the team’s aims to advance L&G’s market-leading responsible investment proposition to meet L&G's commercial aspirations and deliver exceptional client outcomes across the full spectrum of client objectives

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing a strong understanding of L&G’s responsible investment and stewardship proposition, including engagement, voting processes and thematic priorities
• Supporting client engagement through drafting materials and delivering accurate, tailored content for meetings, RFPs, DDQs, reports and media enquiries
• Contributing to the creation of high-quality presentations, case studies and standardised responses aligned to distribution requirements
• Providing data-driven insights and analysis on voting and engagement activity for both regular and ad hoc reporting
• Building subject matter expertise across responsible investment frameworks, methodologies and investment processes
• Supporting the ongoing operation and enhancement of internally owned responsible investment methodologies
• Conducting research and analysis across regulatory, market, client and sustainability themes to inform frameworks, product strategy and competitive positioning
• Contributing to governance and infrastructure initiatives by enhancing data usage, supporting oversight processes and preparing materials for sustainability performance review committees

Who we’re looking for:

• Investments knowledge, ideally incorporating sustainable investing concepts
• Communications: strong ability to articulate and explain complex concepts
• Research and analysis: including a strong proficiency in MS Office. Familiarity with Python and some experience of AI would be desirable 
• Demonstration of education and/or work experience relevant to responsible investing
