Sector Strategy & Market Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of the Consulting & Technology sector strategy in alignment with global business line direction and regional growth objectives.
  • Define priority service offerings, client segments, and geographic focus areas, including digital advisory, data analytics, AI integration, technology platforms, programme management advisory, and digital engineering.
  • Monitor and respond to market trends: digital twin adoption, AI-driven project controls, smart infrastructure, and the evolving intersection of consulting and technology in the infrastructure sector.
  • Represent AECOM's Consulting & Technology practice externally, at industry events, client forums, and through thought leadership and publication.

Business Development & Client Engagement

  • Drive profitable sector growth through strategic pursuits, market differentiation, and disciplined client engagement, with personal accountability for bookings and revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with priority clients across government agencies, major asset owners, private sector, and technology partners.
  • Lead and participate in strategic go/no-go decisions, early client positioning, and solution shaping for major Consulting & Technology pursuits.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy, stage-gated pipeline from market-making and capture through bid, close, and mobilisation.
  • Identify and develop strategic teaming arrangements, JV partnerships, and technology alliances that strengthen AECOM's competitive position.

Consulting & Technology Capability Leadership

  • Champion the integration of digital engineering, AI, data analytics, and technology platforms into AECOM's consulting service delivery, as standard practice, not innovation theatre.
  • Build AECOM's Consulting & Technology brand as a differentiator thought leadership, case studies, technical papers, and client-facing capability showcases.
  • Partner with global digital and technology centres of excellence to bring scalable, proven solutions to the ANZ market.
  • Ensure the sector's service offerings remain ahead of client demand, anticipating how technology is reshaping what infrastructure clients need from a consulting partner.
  • Drive sustainability, resilience, and climate adaptation integration into Consulting & Technology service delivery and client advice.

Financial Performance & Sector P&L

  • Own the Consulting & Technology sector P&L, accountable for bookings, NSR, gross margin, utilisation, and revenue growth in line with the regional financial plan.
  • Provide sector inputs to annual goal-setting for bookings and NSR, ensuring targets are ambitious, grounded in market opportunity, and connected to operational capacity.
  • Drive commercial discipline: monitor financial performance, identify variance early, and lead corrective action with rigour and transparency.
  • Balance growth investment with operational efficiency, making data-informed decisions that sustain margin while funding future capability.

People, Culture & Talent

  • Lead talent strategy for the Consulting & Technology sector, including recruitment, development, succession planning, and retention of key practitioners.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing, diverse team that reflects AECOM's commitment to inclusion, belonging, and psychological safety.
  • Mentor and coach Sector Managers and emerging leaders, building the next generation of Consulting & Technology leadership within AECOM.
