Architect Inspector

Position Summary

HanmiGlobal Saudi Arabia is seeking a qualified Architect Inspector to join its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for a major residential development project in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting architectural construction works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project requirements, and applicable building codes throughout the construction process.

Project : Major Residential Development Project

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect architectural works including blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, doors, windows, joinery, and architectural finishes.
• Review contractor Inspection Requests (IRs) and conduct site inspections in accordance with approved inspection and test plans (ITPs).
• Verify that all installed materials comply with approved material submittals and project specifications.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with approved construction methodologies.
• Identify non-conforming works and issue inspection observations and corrective action requests.
• Verify completion of corrective actions prior to approving completed works.
• Coordinate inspections with Resident Engineers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in mock-up inspections and approval of architectural finishes.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and photographic documentation.
• Support project quality audits and final handover inspections.

• Ensure compliance with Quality, HSE, and project governance requirements

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (where applicable).

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of architectural inspection experience.
• Previous experience on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
• Experience with PMC, engineering consultants, or international contractors is preferred.
• Strong understanding of architectural finishes and construction quality requirements.

Technical Skills

• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of architectural materials, finishes, and installation methods.
• Familiarity with inspection procedures, ITPs, and QA/QC documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.

Professional Certifications

• Saudi Council of Engineers Registration (preferred).
• QA/QC certifications are considered an advantage.
