As an Accounting Associate, you will coordinate and ensure seamless execution of all accounting, tax and financial control responsibilities in each country where the company operates.
You will report to the Controller and will work closely with our Controllership, FP&A, Treasury/FinOps and Capital Markets teams and interact with multiple stakeholders in different countries.
What You'll Do:
- Enabling the monthly accounting close process across the group's entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to closing deadlines.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules in accordance with IFRS requirements.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and support resolution of discrepancies across multiple entities.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance the efficiency and quality of accounting operations.
- Support external and internal audits by preparing documentation, schedules, and responding to audit requests.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages.
- Provide technical accounting support and guidance to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and other business teams to improve financial processes and reporting quality.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, internal controls, and finance procedures.
- Work closely with external service providers (BPOs and advisors) to ensure accurate and timely accounting deliverables.
Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CPA (or equivalent professional accounting qualification).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience implementing accounting best practices and process improvements.
- High proficiency with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and process automation.
- Experience in fintech, financial services, banking, leasing, or multinational environments is highly desirable, including exposure to international operations and multi-jurisdiction accounting environments is a plus.
- Previous experience at a Big Four accounting firm is a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
