Optician (Part-Time)

Location: San Diego, CA

Schedule: 3 Days Per Week

Compensation: $27.00 per Hour (W-2 Employee)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Optician to join our team serving patients throughout the San Diego area. This position offers a consistent 3-day-per-week schedule and the opportunity to provide meaningful vision care while working in a patient-focused environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist with patient intake and vision screenings
• Support eye care providers during patient appointments
• Help patients select, fit, and adjust eyewear
• Educate patients on proper eyewear use and care
• Maintain optical equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace
• Complete basic documentation and administrative tasks
• Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and compassion
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control protocols

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Optician preferred
• Experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting is a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of lens types, frame fitting, and optical measurements
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Reliable transportation
• Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
• Experience working with seniors is a plus
