Job Summary:
The Designer is a creative, detail-oriented graphic designer responsible for developing and producing high-quality visual materials across print, packaging, digital, presentation, environmental, and social media applications. This role partners closely with Design, Marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate approved briefs and campaign needs into effective visual concepts and production-ready assets. The Designer contributes to social media concepting and execution, including the creation of approved content in the company’s in-house photo studio. Success in this role requires strong design fundamentals, clear communication, efficient production skills, and the ability to meet strict schedules
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute creative materials that support company, brand, marketing, sales, internal communications, and customer-facing initiatives.
- Develop thoughtful design solutions for collateral, packaging, presentations, promotional displays, signage, digital assets, websites, and social media content while maintaining established brand standards.
- Support social media production by concepting, designing, photographing, editing, and preparing channel-ready assets based on approved briefs, content calendars, and campaign direction.
- Use the in-house photo studio to create approved social media and marketing concepts, product styling, prop selection, lighting coordination, photography support, and post-production as needed.
- Follow a strict production schedule for social media and other assigned work, managing multiple concepts, shoots, reviews, revisions, and final asset delivery dates at the same time.
- Partner with Design and Marketing Managers, fellow Designers, and internal stakeholders to understand project goals, ask clarifying questions, and implement feedback quickly and accurately.
- Prepare accurate, production-ready files for print, packaging, digital, social, and other final uses, ensuring all work meets brief requirements, technical specifications, and quality expectations.
- Maintain organized project files and asset databases using established naming conventions, server structures, and file-management procedures.
- Provide creative input, design recommendations, and production guidance to internal clients while staying aligned with approved strategy and direction.
- Stay current on design, production, photography, and social content trends that can improve the quality and efficiency of the team’s work.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in art, design, or other related areas of study, preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience designing for a variety of mediums preferably in a marketing, advertising, or corporate environment. CPG experience a plus.
- Experience creating or producing social media assets, digital campaign content, or studio-based marketing photography preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Design & Composition – Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, balance, proportion, and how design elements work together to communicate clearly.
- Typography– Strong grasp of typography principles, including font selection, scale, spacing, readability, and how type choices affect communication.
- Concept Development- Ability to translate a brief into clear visual concepts for print, digital, packaging, presentation, environmental, and social media applications.
- Social Media production- Ability to execute approved content ideas into polished, on-brand social assets, including static posts, simple motion or video support and photo-based content.
- Photo Studio and Image Editing – Comfortable working with photography, product imagery, layout edits, retouching, cropping, color correction, and basic studio production needs.
- Communication- Ability to communicate ideas, questions, recommendations, timelines, and concerns clearly with team members and internal stakeholders
- Deadline management – Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage overlapping assignments, meet strict production schedules, and adjust quickly when project needs change.
- Attention to detail- Ability to review work carefully for accuracy, consistency, brand alignment, spelling, technical specifications, and final production requirements.
- Strong understanding of both print and digital artwork production.
- Solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Strong customer service, collaboration, and people skills
- Ability to receive feedback constructively and revise work quickly and accurately.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow written creative briefs, technical specifications, and production notes.
- Experience shooting with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, working with studio lighting, or supporting product photography a plus.
- Contributes to a positive, collaborative team culture.
