Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IBM i (AS400) Infrastructure Lead to manage enterprise IBM i environments, lead L2/L3 production support, and drive infrastructure stability, upgrades, disaster recovery, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in IBM Power Systems along with proven team leadership experience.

Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in IBM i (AS400/iSeries) Administration
  • 3+ years of experience leading infrastructure or production support teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead IBM i (AS400) infrastructure operations and provide L2/L3 production support.
  • Manage IBM Power Systems, HMC, VIOS, PowerVM, and LPAR environments.
  • Perform IBM i OS installations, upgrades, migrations, and PTF deployments.
  • Administer BRMS, backup & recovery, and High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions (MIMIX/PowerHA).
  • Monitor system performance, capacity, and security, ensuring platform availability and compliance.
  • Handle incident, problem, and change management following ITIL processes.
  • Coordinate with IBM and third-party vendors for critical issue resolution and infrastructure support.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of infrastructure engineers while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experience working in Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Automotive, or Retail domains
