Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Diesel system Calibration Expert to lead and support vehicle calibration and calibration project management activities across the product development lifecycle, with a strong focus on diesel, CNG & alternative fuels, vehicle calibration.
In this role, you will work closely with OEM customers, sales project management teams, and cross-functional engineering stakeholders to develop vehicles and support successful project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Testing, Performance Evaluation, Application and Calibration of control algorithms in diesel engines for Off-Road and Large Engines.
Understand and analyze customers’ performance & controller requirements.
Experience with powertrain calibration like drivability, speed governing, engine protection functions, injection corrections & hot/cold startability.
Conduct Vehicle tests in summer and winter sessions and calibrate system performance per Bosch, Customer's and legal requirements.
Troubleshooting in vehicle for hardware, software development.
Interface with customers to provide technical support.
Follow company development and quality processes.
Support sales PjM for new project acquisition and technical activities.
Flexible mindset of working on field testing, off-road construction machinery.
What We’re Looking For
B.E, M.Tech (Mechanical, Automobile, E&C, EEE).
4 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
Experienced in technically leading / working on calibration development projects
Experience in calibrating torque-based control systems (diesel & alternative fuels) including emissions and climate development
Excellent knowledge of powertrain systems and sub-systems
Good knowledge of developing engine management systems and testing techniques
Ability to use model-based calibration tools e.g. Inca, Uniplot, Cameo, ASCMO, AVL Puma, etc.
Experienced user of analytical software tools to handle large volumes of data.
Ability to understand, interpret and evaluate numerical data
Knowledge of Modelling and Simulation techniques
Knowledge of coding/programming languages
Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems
Sound understanding of engine combustion processes and emissions formulation
Knowledge and experience of INCA and ETAS tools.
Skilled in statistical testing techniques i.e. Design of Experiments (DoE)
Complete work in a safe, timely and professional manner with the minimum of supervision Flexibility to undertake additional task to meet business requirements
Highly motivated, keen to learn and share knowledge. High attention to detail
Excellent communication skills.
Flexibility to travel as and when required.
