What You'll Do

Assist the orthodontist during a variety of clinical procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient appointments.
Place and remove archwires, ligatures, brackets, and orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations.
Take digital radiographs, photographs, impressions, and digital scans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, elastic wear, aligner care, and post-treatment instructions.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
Sterilize instruments and maintain organized treatment areas.
Help create a positive, welcoming experience for every patient and family.
Collaborate with doctors and teammates to keep the schedule running efficiently.

Qualifications

Previous orthodontic assisting experience preferred.
Dental assisting experience with an interest in orthodontics will also be considered.
Current X-Ray Certification (where required).
Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials.
Experience with digital scanning (iTero or similar) is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
Reliable, professional, and eager to learn.

Schedule

Full-time
Monday–Friday (schedule varies by location)
Some Saturdays may be required depending on the practice.
