Chief Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chief Carpenter with a passion for luxury hospitality and exceptional service, with expertise in wood finishing, polishing, and furniture restoration being highly preferred. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of carpentry maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs, ensuring all woodwork throughout the hotel is maintained to the highest quality standards. A detail-oriented, proactive professional with strong teamwork and communication skills, committed to safety, excellence, and delivering exceptional workmanship, will be a valuable addition to our team.

• Must have a full working knowledge of all the hotel’s woodwork  systems.
• Implement the trouble reporting system effectively.
• Implement the planned preventive maintenance system.
• Keep the engineering department logs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Execute the work order / request system properly.
• Patrol and inspect all areas of the hotel on a regular basis.
• Keep the work area clean, neat and organized.
• Operation and maintenance of all the doors, locks, hinches systems in the hotel.
• Maintain all the wooden furniture in the hotel, including removable ones repair and replacement.
• Maintain all wood work  in the hotel except when the service of an outside contractor is required.
• Perform fault analysis, installation or dismounting of all the door closure units in the hotel.
• Perform all the carpentry maintenance work in the guest rooms or public areas.
• Accompany the workers of the outside contractors.
• Assist in the carrying of materials and equipment required for the fulfillment of engineering department duties.
• Follow all safety rules while performing his job and report all the accidents.
• Abide by the hotel rules, procedures and standards while doing his job.
• Request the required materials, tools and equipment in due time in order to be able to perform his duties.
