About the Role

We are hiring a skilled Metal Fabrication Welder to join a busy fabrication shop specializing in custom metal products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with MIG welding experience who takes pride in producing quality work and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

### What You'll Do

Perform MIG welding on fabricated metal components

Weld and finish stairs, railings, stringers, and other miscellaneous metal products

Grind welds to meet quality and appearance standards

Operate an overhead crane to safely move materials

Inspect completed welds and metal assemblies for quality and structural integrity

Read blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication documents

Maintain a clean and safe work area while following established safety procedures

### Required Qualifications

Previous MIG welding experience

Experience operating welding equipment and using standard welding techniques

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications

Basic math and geometry skills for measuring and layout work

Ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced shop environment

Strong attention to detail and workmanship

Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

### Preferred Qualifications

Professional welding certification

Experience fabricating or welding stair stringers, railings, porches, or similar structural components

Previous experience working with miscellaneous metals

Experience operating overhead cranes
