Painter

Aureol Global Connections is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to prepare surfaces and apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes to residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The successful candidate will ensure all painting and decorating work is completed to a high standard, within project timelines, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, scraping, and priming.
• Apply paint, varnish, stains, sealants, and other decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Mix and match paint colours to achieve the required finish.
• Repair minor surface imperfections, including cracks and holes, before painting.
• Protect surrounding areas with masking materials and dust sheets.
• Remove old paint and wallpaper where required.
• Apply wallpaper and other wall coverings when necessary.
• Ensure a smooth, high-quality finish on walls, ceilings, doors, windows, woodwork, and other surfaces.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
• Estimate material requirements and minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations

Requirements

Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator or Painter.

Knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques.

Experience using brushes, rollers, and spray-painting equipment.

Ability to read and interpret work instructions and specifications.

Knowledge of different paint types, finishes, and application methods.

Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
