Accounting Principles Consultant (m/f/d)

Job Description

As Consultant Accounting Principles & External Reporting (m/f/diverse) you will be the contact for our various internal stakeholders as well as our external auditors with respect to specific accounting issues.

• Preparation of the accounting for specific parts of the Annual Report and Quarterly Reports and contact for internal and external auditors
• Handling of Annual, Quarterly, Monthly and case-related accounting issues including coordination for required input
• Prepare advise and direct internal stakeholders to act in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for external reporting and apply basic accounting principles and internal guidelines
• Subject matter expert for accounting issues
• Updates of the Accounting Guidelines (Financial Reporting Manual) and Definition of Group Accounting Policies
• Continuous monitoring of accounting standards regarding legal requirements or internal issues
• Provide trainings on Accounting issues
• Participation in projects, e.g. implementation of new accounting standards

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics with a focus on Finance and Accounting
• Profound professional experience at an accounting firm or in the financial and accounting department of an industrial company
• Several years of professional experience with the preparation of consolidated financial statements preferably for a globally acting company
• Business fluent English and German language skills 
• Analytical skills
• Intercultural sensitivity and very good cross-culture communication and understanding
