Software Test Engineer / SDET

Continental’s Data & Customer Solutions Competence Center develops innovative digital products that support both our customers and internal teams, and we’d love for you to be part of it!

Our Digital Solutions IT team is searching for a talented Tester to strengthen our QA team for the product ContiConnect.

As a Tester, you will contribute to our overall test strategy, ensuring smooth, high-quality releases throughout the entire software development lifecycle. You’ll participate in cross-functional testing efforts, create and execute tests, also assist other teams in adopting best practices that raise the bar for quality across the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts;
• Contribute to the overall test strategy, best practices and to the release plan;
• Communication with identified stakeholders for the execution of integrated testing activities;
• Integrating with the software development lifecycle, working closely with design, product managers, and development teams;
• Ensure our product meets client’s specifications within defined deadlines and quality standards;
• Coordinate and perform manual and/or automated tests to validate product functionality, performance, and quality;
• Interface with test environments, test data preparation, testing tools, and the implementation of test automation;
• Mentor development teams to quality best practices.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related field;
• +2 years of experience in software testing;
• Solid background in manual and/or automated testing, system testing, integration testing and/or UAT;
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to understand complex business and technical environments;
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with proven experience supporting cross-functional teams;
• Experience working in agile and Scrum/SAFe environment with remote teams and stakeholders;
• Ability to quick learning a new product, and be able to think outside the box;
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence (or similar tools);
• Experience with X-Ray (or similar test management tools);
• Experience with test automation frameworks, like Playwright or Cypress;
• Experience with development languages such as Java is a plus;
• ISTQB certification is a plus;
• Proficiency in English language.
