Senior Accountant - Business Transition Support (12-Month Contract)

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will support accounting operations and finance transition activities associated with a business divestiture and related transition support services. This role will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and cost accounting support, billing activities, and month-end close processes.

The position is intended to provide operational support during the transition period, ensuring continuity of accounting operations and timely execution of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare billing schedules, customer invoices, and receivable reconciliations related to transition support activities.
• Support invoice processing, vendor payment activities, and open purchase order reviews.
• Assist with inventory, cost accounting, and shipment-related reconciliations and analysis.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accounting support.
• Support intercompany reconciliations and transition-related accounting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business transition and operational requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP system experience (SAP preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a multinational company environment.
• Experience supporting business transitions or integration projects.
• Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting processes.
