We are a joint venture between MEIG (Middle East Internet Group), Rocket Internet, and IMENA. Jeeny was established in 2014 as Easy Taxi. However, in 2016, it was revamped as Jeeny to cater to other services. Currently, we are operational in Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

Job Brief:
The Security Engineer (Penetration Tester) is responsible for identifying, assessing, and validating security vulnerabilities across the company's applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and internal systems. The role involves conducting penetration testing, security assessments, vulnerability management, and collaborating with engineering teams to remediate security risks. The Security Engineer will help strengthen the organization's security posture, support compliance requirements, and ensure the protection of customer, driver, and company data.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of web applications, mobile applications, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and internal systems.
- Identify, validate, and document security vulnerabilities, providing clear remediation recommendations.
- Perform security reviews of new features, products, and system architectures.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to prioritize and remediate security findings.
- Manage and track vulnerabilities through their lifecycle until closure.
- Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for business-critical systems.
- Support secure software development practices and integrate security into the SDLC.
- Perform security testing of cloud environments, containers, Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques relevant to the organization.
- Assist in security incident investigations by providing technical analysis and root cause identification.
- Develop and maintain penetration testing methodologies, playbooks, and security standards.
- Support compliance initiatives and security audits related to standards and regulations such as PDPL, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
- Prepare detailed technical and executive-level reports on security assessments and remediation progress.
- Conduct security awareness sessions and provide guidance to technical teams on security best practices.
- Participate in red team exercises, security drills, and continuous improvement of the organization's security posture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in penetration testing, application security, or cybersecurity engineering.
- Strong understanding of web application, mobile application, API, network, and cloud security principles.
- Experience performing security assessments against OWASP Top 10, API Security Top 10, and common infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, PNPT, CEH, GWAPT, GPEN, Security+, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience in fintech, mobility, ride-hailing, or other high-transaction digital platforms is a plus.
