CNC Machinist

We are hiring experienced CNC Machinists to join our high-mix, low-volume aerospace and defense machine shop. Our team machines precision components used in satellites, aircraft, helicopters, defense systems, and other mission-critical applications.

This is a hands-on role where machinists take ownership of their work from setup through final inspection. You’ll work with modern equipment, challenging parts, and a team that values craftsmanship, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate, and inspect precision-machined aerospace and defense components.
• Work from blueprints, GD&T, setup sheets, and work instructions.
• Select tooling, establish offsets, and develop effective workholding solutions.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Make program edits and offset adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot dimensional, tooling, and machine-related issues during production.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow quality system requirements.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality, setup reduction, and productivity.
• Experience with 5-axis machining, mill-turn equipment, CMM operation, FAI documentation, or Mastercam is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to independently perform machine setups and prove out jobs.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Experience holding tight tolerances and performing precision inspections.
• Familiarity with G-code editing and making on-machine adjustments.
• Experience with aerospace, defense, medical, or other tight-tolerance manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, mill-turn, or multi-axis equipment preferred.
• Experience working in ISO 9001 or AS9100 environments preferred.
• Additional experience with CMMs, FAIs, or Mastercam programming is a plus.
