Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Sales to lead our sales operations in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. In this pivotal role, you will drive revenue growth, build and mentor a high-performing sales team, and establish strategic partnerships that position our organization for sustainable success. As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive sales strategies, achieving ambitious revenue targets, and fostering a customer-centric culture that delivers exceptional results.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, identify new business opportunities, and expand the customer base while monitoring market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment that encourages innovation, professional growth, and accountability
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction at all touchpoints throughout the sales cycle
- Manage sales forecasting, pipeline development, and resource allocation to optimize team performance and maximize revenue generation
- Implement and oversee CRM systems and analytics tools to track customer interactions, measure sales performance, and generate data-driven insights for continuous improvement
- Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the sales team, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities
- Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to refine sales approaches and enhance business outcomes
- Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, including key metrics and financial analysis, and present findings and recommendations to senior management
Qualifications
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- **Experience:** Minimum 7 years in sales leadership or sales management roles, with a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth; experience in a hospitality or service-oriented industry is advantageous
- **Leadership Skills:** Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire cross-functional sales teams; experience managing P&L responsibilities and building high-performing organizations
- **Sales Expertise:** Strong proficiency in sales strategy development, sales forecasting, pipeline management, and negotiation; demonstrated success in identifying new business opportunities and expanding customer bases
- **Technical Proficiency:** Proficient in CRM software, analytics tools, and digital sales platforms; ability to leverage data and technology to optimize sales performance and customer engagement
- **Strategic Thinking:** Ability to think strategically and execute methodically, using market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform decision-making and drive organizational growth
- **Communication and Interpersonal Skills:** Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; adept at building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and team members at all organizational levels
- **Analytical Abilities:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions
- **Customer Focus:** Commitment to understanding customer needs, delivering exceptional service, and building long-term client relationships that drive loyalty and repeat business
