Job Description
The role of the Orderbook Fulfillment Planner is a newly created role which will enable a shift in the way the orderbook is currently managed in John Crane , with emphasis on long term OTIF increase, back-order reductions and overall customer satisfaction through on-time delivery of orders. The role holder will report into the S&OE and will heavily support the management of orderbook from the Sales & Aftermarket. This role will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to creating long lasting value add to John Crane and its customers through focused tactical and strategic actions to ensure on time delivery.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best support customer needs.
- Support standardization; including KPIs, SOPs, and all other Planning tools.
- Working with the regions to drive performance improvements and implement scalable business processes.
- Business System excellence (ERP).
- Ability to identify and understand root cause to help streamline processes so that the Supply Chain can meet deadlines.
- Lead tier reviews for their respective regions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve workflow bottlenecks.
- Assist in the resolution of key supply and demand related issues.
- Notify Scheduling and Manufacturing teams of significant forecast or capacity changes on a timely basis.
- Assist with the coordination, facilitation, and documentation of regularly scheduled planning meetings.
- Utilize MRP systems to coordinate requirements to meet schedules while minimizing inventory.
- Tracking and monitoring Supply Chain performance, minimizing any variations to the planning cycle.
- Coordinate with other departments on production and supply chain objectives and schedules.
- Short and long-term planning to align supply and demand to support inventory objectives and customer needs
- Actively participate in the rolling sales forecast discussions with relevant stakeholders.
- Phase orders in the ERP based on the latest information from the Supply chain and customers.
- Lead a team of orderbook specialists with focus on KPI’s and developing the team.
Qualifications
Education / Courses: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and/or a related field.
Experience: More than 5 years of experience in production, planning, supply chain, CS and scheduling.
Skills and experience:
- Needs to understand Sales, Service, Manufacturing, Supply chain and data support systems.
- Analytical and Logical skills.
- Communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Logical, measured and process driven individual with strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate at multiple levels within JC internal stakeholders.
- Customer focused.
- Ability to make informed decisions using data and understanding impacts (KPI's focus).
- Strong knowledge of SAP. (required)
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Leadership skills.
Language skills:
- Spanish Fluent
- English Advanced required.
