Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to provide technical support and supervision for structural works on large-scale building construction projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will ensure that all structural activities are executed in accordance with approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, and construction methodologies while supporting the successful delivery of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight and supervision of structural construction activities.
- Ensure structural works comply with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.
- Review structural drawings, calculations, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders on structural-related matters.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical solutions to resolve construction challenges.
- Verify compliance with reinforced concrete and structural steel construction requirements.
- Support project teams in planning, execution, and quality control of structural works.
- Prepare technical reports, site observations, and progress updates as required.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and client requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and construction supervision.
- Proven experience in large-scale building construction projects, including residential, accommodation, mixed-use, institutional, or similar developments.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering projects of comparable scale and complexity.
- Strong experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel building projects.
- Excellent understanding of structural drawings, specifications, engineering standards, and construction methodologies.
- Previous experience in Qatar is highly preferred; GCC experience may also be considered.
- Valid MMUP/UPDA registration is preferred for candidates currently in Qatar and mandatory where applicable.
- Familiarity with QatarEnergy requirements, major clients, consultants, and local authority regulations is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
