Site based- Gainsborough - Marley
£28,000 per annum
36.5 hrs per week (8am - 4pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8am – 3pm)

What you'll be doing
Working from our busy manufacturing site and reporting directly to Engineering Manager. As part of the engineering team this position will have responsibility for receiving/checking inbound goods from other sites & suppliers; ensuring adequate supply of engineering spares, consumables, and raw materials at all times to meet production demands. This role will predominantly be 80% Computer based with mainly Stock control work (SAP & Email, telephone)

Responsibilities

• Order spares, consumables and raw materials as required to maintain adequate supplies
• Monitor and report on lead times and max / min levels
• Conduct regular stock checks as per Company procedure
• Investigate alternative suppliers to ensure competition and potential cost savings
• Maintain accurate records of goods received and items issued
• Keep stores area tidy and clean
• Drive a forklift truck / side loader and a company vehicle
• Control shackles, eye-bolts and other lifting equipment for insurance records

What skills you will need

• Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
• Be able to operate essential handling equipment
• Ability to use own initiative and take ownership of tasks
• Previous experience in stock management, use of SAP and reporting is highly desirable
• Have a strong safety awareness with a proven track record of maintaining high safety standards for self and others in the workplace
