About the Role

We are seeking an HSE Technician who will report to the HSE Manager and support the implementation of Health, Safety & Environment activities across the site.

This role will play a key part in ensuring compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and legal requirements, contributing to a safe and sustainable work environment.

You will:

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety & Environment activities across the site.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with legal requirements and corporate standards.
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to employees on HSE matters.
  • Promote a proactive Safety Culture across all levels of the organization, encouraging safe behaviors.
  • Support the development, review, and implementation of safe systems of work, identifying and helping mitigate risks.
  • Participate in inspections, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring proper follow-up of corrective actions.
  • Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure HSE standards are integrated into daily operations.

So what does it take to be successful in this role?  

  • 2–5 years of experience in a HSE role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Health & Safety certification (Level 4/5 or equivalent preferred).
  • Good knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with interest in incident investigation and continuous improvement.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English.
