Job Description

Join our Human Resources People eXperience and Engagement team of HR Coordinators and HR Advisors to play a key role in shaping the employee journey at CERN, supporting a diverse community of students, graduates, and staff while navigating a dynamic and evolving environment, by designing and delivering tailored HR support, services, and policies. If you have an eye for detail and a genuine interest in people and HR matters, are keen to gain a deep understanding of HR processes, and develop your interpersonal skills, then this is the right position for you.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient, friendly, and reliable administration and communication for various HR processes and queries, supporting HR professionals and their client departments.
  • Inform and advise student and graduate populations throughout their experience at CERN on several topics (regulations, integration, processes, etc.).
  • Deliver engaging presentations on HR topics to a variety of audiences, both within and beyond the group.
  • Master the swift administration of contractual actions for several populations.

Your profile:

  • Experience dealing with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Interest/experience with delivering presentations.
  • Interest/experience with customer service roles.

Skills:

  • Effective written and oral communication, adapting the style to different audiences.
  • Working in teams, promoting a positive atmosphere through an optimistic and constructive attitude.
  • Maintaning discretion and accountability.
  • Delivering high-quality work on time and fulfilling expectations.
  • Proactive attitude on taking on activities and tasks without prompting.
  • MS Office knowledge.
  • Presentation crafting and delivering skills.
  • Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.

Eligibility criteria:

  • You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
  • By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Human Resources, Administration, related (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma.
  • You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
  • Applicants with a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree are not eligible.

Additional Information

Job closing date: 19.07.2026 at 23:59 CEST.

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.

Working hours: 40 hours per week
