Job Description
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Warehouse MHE Operative to join our team at our IPS Featherstone site. This is a great opportunity to be part of a fast-paced warehouse and production operation where your MHE skills, accuracy and commitment will help keep products moving safely and efficiently. You’ll play an important role in picking stock, supporting daily warehouse activity and working as part of a dependable team that takes pride in getting the job done right.
You’ll work on a rotating 2-shift pattern, giving you a clear and consistent working week: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00.
We’ve recently increased our pay rates, with a basic rate of £14.40 per hour plus the opportunity to boost your earnings through overtime.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Play a key role in keeping our busy warehouse operation moving by accurately picking stock and customer orders from set locations.
- Use MHE equipment safely and confidently to load customer pallets onto trailers, helping ensure products leave site on time and in great condition.
- Work with accuracy and attention to detail to make sure the right products and quantities are picked every time.
- Take pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment across the warehouse.
- Follow warehouse processes and Health & Safety standards, including risk assessment guidance and safe MHE checks.
- Communicate clearly with Team Leaders and Managers to keep daily activity running smoothly and highlight any issues quickly.
Support accurate reporting of damages and help maintain high operational standards across every shift.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Previous MHE experience is important, especially on Flexi, VNA, PPT or Counterbalance equipment. Valid licences would be a real advantage, but we’re also interested in hearing from confident operators with strong practical experience.
- Experience in a similar warehouse or logistics environment would be beneficial, but the right attitude and commitment are just as important.
- A positive, hands-on approach and the ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-moving warehouse environment.
- Good attention to detail, with the accuracy needed to pick, move and load products safely and correctly.
- A reasonable level of verbal and numerical understanding to follow instructions, complete checks and support day-to-day warehouse activity.
- A reliable and conscientious attitude, with pride in doing the job safely and to a high standard.
- A team-focused mindset, with the confidence to communicate clearly and support colleagues across the operation.
- A flexible attitude towards training and learning new processes, systems or ways of working
