Salary range: $140-190K

👩 💼 The Role

At Manifest, the Immigration Strategy Attorney is the front line of the prospective client experience. You’ll be the first Manifest attorney that prospective clients speak to, and your job is to ensure every consultation is handled with warmth, clarity, speed, and precision. Consultations will primarily focus on extraordinary ability and high-skilled categories such as EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and O-1A, but may also include inquiries across a range of other immigration categories, breaking news, and fast-changing policies.

You’ll conduct consultations with prospective clients from around the world, evaluate their eligibility and overall case strength, and provide clear recommendations on the right next step. You’ll be responsible for identifying strong candidates quickly, managing expectations for borderline cases, and diplomatically explaining when a client is not a fit, all while making clients feel understood, supported, and informed.

This role is ideal for an attorney who is personable, confident speaking with clients, and thrives in a high-volume environment where fast, accurate legal assessment and strong communication are essential.

🔍 What You’ll Do

Client consultations & first legal contact

  • Conduct consultations with prospective clients and provide clear, confident explanations of Manifest’s services and process.

  • Evaluate prospective clients for extraordinary ability and high-skilled immigration pathways, including EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1A, and related categories.

  • Communicate in a way that feels calm, professional, and supportive, even when clients are anxious or unfamiliar with immigration terminology.

  • Explain complex legal concepts in simple, accessible language to clients from diverse backgrounds and countries.

Case evaluation & qualification

  • Review client information during consultations, assess viability, and classify case strength (e.g., strong / moderate / weak / unclear).

  • Identify key indicators of high potential (e.g., strong publications, awards, high-profile work, strong salary, press, critical roles, membership, judging, original contributions).

  • Identify common red flags, missing information, credibility issues, or factors that weaken case strategy.

  • Provide clear next-step guidance, including whether a client should proceed, reposition, or not move forward.

  • Make strong, fast judgment calls on fit and communicate decisions with clarity and empathy.

Documentation + consultation notes

  • Capture clear consultation notes and recommendations in the firm’s systems.

  • Ensure lead data is complete and consistent for follow-up and downstream workflow.

  • Maintain clean records so nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Track and flag high-priority candidates or time-sensitive cases.

✅ Requirements

  • 5+ years of law practice experience, with significant exposure to U.S. business immigration.

  • Strong working knowledge of extraordinary ability and high-skilled categories, including EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, O-1A, and related strategies.

  • Fast learner. You keep up with changing government policies and can quickly identify a proposed policy’s or regulation’s potential real-life impacts to applicants.

  • Deep comfort assessing candidacy quickly and accurately across a wide range of professional profiles.

  • Exceptional communication skills. You are crisp, warm, confident, and highly articulate.

  • Strong judgment and triage ability: you can quickly interpret a profile, assess case strength, and recommend the right next step.

  • Highly personable and emotionally intelligent. You know how to build trust quickly and make clients feel heard.

  • Ability to clearly explain complex legal ideas in simple language to clients.

  • Organized and reliable.

  • Comfortable working in a high-volume consultation environment.

  • Ability to work independently, maintain professionalism, and represent the firm with polish and confidence.
