JUNIOR SCM ENGINEER

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Possess solid foundational knowledge of core computer theories and principles.
• Master standard SCM (Software Configuration Management) workflows, theories and industry best practices.
• Proficient in Linux systems and common command-line operations, with basic Shell scripting skills for daily automation and operation.
• Familiar with Windows systems and able to complete routine system operations via PowerShell.
• Skilled in Git and other source code management tools, proficient in code branch management, version control and release management via CLI.
• Familiar with mainstream CI/CD toolchains including GitLab, Jenkins and Harbor, capable of daily pipeline deployment, configuration, maintenance and integration.
• Experienced in code quality management with tools such as SonarQube to ensure code specification and project quality.
• Understand containerization and cloud-native architecture, with basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for SCM environment maintenance.
• Experience working with Azure or AWS Cloud is preferred.
• Basic coding skills with Python or .NET for tool scripting and automation is preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

As a junior SCM engineer, we have the following basic requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical disciplines.
• Background in DEV or QA is acceptable, candidates with automated testing experience are preferred.
• Strong sense of responsibility, self-driven, detail-sensitive and logical thinking with excellent learning ability. Able to support occasional overtime work according to project schedule.
• Good communication skills and team cooperation spirit, able to collaborate efficiently with development and testing teams.
• Solid English reading and writing skills for understanding technical documents and working with global teams.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
