As Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for;
- Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for car wash equipment, including PLC-based control systems, motor drives, sensors, and actuators.
- Select and specify electrical components such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relays, power supplies, motors, and safety devices.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL 508 and UL73, CE (not applicable- only for EU products), and relevant local or environmental regulations).
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering to ensure proper integration of electrical and mechanical systems within equipment designs.
- Support manufacturing by providing clear build documentation, troubleshooting electrical issues on the production floor, and assisting with first article builds.
- Develop and execute electrical testing and validation plans, including functional testing, safety testing, and failure analysis.
Qualifications;
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within an industrial, automation, or heavy equipment manufacturing environments
- Functional / Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, control circuits, and grounding.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, motors, and industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to read, create, and maintain electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and certification requirements.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills for electrical and control system issues.
- Proficiency with engineering documentation tools and Microsoft Office; experience with electrical CAD software preferred.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable instructions for manufacturing and service teams.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $135,000
Location: Onsite in Arvada, CO
