Your Role:
As the Internal Communications Senior Manager you will lead the strategy and execution of global internal communications to ensure employees stay informed, connected, and engaged. This position is responsible for shaping internal communications strategy, translating business priorities into clear and compelling messaging, and partnering with senior leaders to reinforce Tenable's culture and strategic direction. You will serve as a dedicated partner for executive communications, taking on responsibilities that include ghostwriting, messaging development, leadership announcements, and coordinating company-wide All Hands meetings.This role is part of the corporate communications team, reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Communications.
Your day-to-day will involve developing and content about a range of topics from new corporate initiatives, product announcements and events across various internal channels, such as email, company intranet, video, and corporate messaging platforms. To ensure effective and scalable communications, you will also manage internal communications platforms, tools, vendors, and governance processes while measuring the success of your programs through employee feedback and data-driven insights to continuously improve outcomes.
Your Opportunity:
- You will partner closely with HR and leadership teams to support culture-building, employee engagement, change management, and key company initiatives.
- You will have the opportunity to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, taking programs from concept through delivery.
- You will act as the "air traffic controller" for corporate messaging, using strong storytelling instincts to synthesize complex business and strategic concepts into content that resonates across all levels of the organization.
- Ensure consistency in tone, branding and messaging across platforms while maintaining a communications strategy built to drive engagement and reinforce key messages.
What You'll Need:
- 5 to 8+ years of professional experience in internal communications, with at least 5 years developing and executing internal communications strategies and programs.
- Proven experience in executive communications and ghostwriting. This includes a range of activities from developing social media posts and videos to internal emails.
- Exceptional writing, editorial, proofreading and verbal communications skills; ability to clearly communicate across a variety of platforms and confidently make recommendations to senior stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Strong storytelling skills that support a well-informed, engaged and connected workforce across various regions and cultures.
- Outstanding project and change management skills, including proven experience managing global announcement and event calendars.
- Experience establishing continuous two-way employee feedback loops and using qualitative and quantitative data to measure KPIs.
- Experience managing internal communications platforms (e.g., intranets, Slack, email marketing platforms, digital signage).
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to partner with HR, secure executive buy-in, and manage external vendors.
- Proficiency with the Google Workspace suite, internal communications software stacks, and data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau).
- B.A./B.S. degree in marketing, journalism, communications, human resources, or equivalent work experience.
And Ideally:
- Experience in or familiarity with the technology or cybersecurity industries is preferred.
- A curiosity-driven approach to emerging tools, including AI and LLMs, with a track record of adopting new technology to work smarter, move faster, and elevate the quality of communications output.

This is the base pay range for this position. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. Employees are also eligible for variable compensation in addition to base pay (commission for sales roles, bonus for non-sales roles), depending on company and individual performance.
