Senior Full Stack Engineer

Coderapper is seeking a Senior Commerce Engineer to help architect and build the next generation of commerce experiences across artist stores and direct-to-consumer platforms. This role combines front-end excellence with full-stack engineering and modern commerce architecture.

You will work across Shopify, Hydrogen, headless CMS platforms, APIs, and integrations to deliver scalable, performant, and highly engaging customer experiences.

The ideal candidate has experience building headless commerce solutions using Shopify Hydrogen and Storefront APIs, and is comfortable working across both customer-facing applications and supporting services.

Job Functions

• Provide technical support and leadership in the development and continual improvement of service

• Contribute fully-baked, well-tested features

• Write and develop thought-out, performant, and scalable technical solutions to unique business problems

• Provide estimates to the required level of accuracy for stories and tasks

• Create technical documentation

• Build website features that are accessible and compliant with requirements across different countries

• Build website features that are optimized to ensure fast loading speeds

• Build performant website features, utilizing best and modern practices

• Build website features that work across various browsers

• Build and maintain headless commerce experiences using Shopify Hydrogen, Remix and React

• Develop scalable commerce solutions leveraging Shopify Storefront API and Admin API

• Build systems integrations with various eCommerce and consumer marketing platforms (CRM, AdTech, MarTech, Customer Service Tech) to surface data on our online properties

• Build reusable commerce components and patterns that can be shared across brands and markets

• Design and implement performant customer experiences optimized for conversion and engagement

• Extend Shopify capabilities using Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, Metaobjects and custom applications

Skills / Abilities

10+ years of work experience in software design and development, and hands-on experience in building UI heavy experiences.

Necessary

• Strong experience with Shopify ecosystem and modern commerce architecture

• Hands-on experience with Shopify Hydrogen and Storefront API

• Experience building headless commerce solutions in production

• Experience with Shopify Admin API, Checkout Extensibility and Shopify Functions

• Strong understanding of Shopify theme architecture

• Experience with Headless CMS and self-hosted CMS

• Experience designing content schemas and editorial workflows

• Experience building structured content models for commerce experiences

• Go (Golang) experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with Sanity CMS

• Experience with Contentful, Storyblok, Builder.io or similar headless CMS platforms

• Experience implementing search, discovery and merchandising experiences within commerce platforms

• Experience with personalization and customer data platforms

• Experience with international commerce and localization

• Strong experience integrating with web services (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) and third-party libraries

• Strong experience of relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis

• Experience in building products with full-stack technologies

• Able to define, design, implement complex, and scalable systems

• Ability to debug and remediate bugs while maintaining good communication and transparency

• Good team player and communication skills

Education

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience
