Job Description

First impressions are everything!  As a Fairmont Gold Room Attendant with Accor Hotels, you will act as a brand ambassador in creating the essential Toronto experience for each one of our values guests in a luxury boutique setting.

  • Consistently offer professional, polished, friendly and engaging service
  • Intuitive service culture
  • Clean and inspect all assigned  guestrooms  including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies, evening refresh
  • Maintaining a 95% average on monthly audits conducted by Gold Floor Manager
  • Ensure the needs of our most valued guests are anticipated and the high level of service is being maintained by the department
  • Sign in and out master keys daily which may include using the Key Tracer system
  • Utilize REX/HOTSOS according to standard
  • Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with RYH policies and procedures
  • Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Assist the Houseperson with maintaining the cleanliness of all areas on the gold floors including closets and corridors
  • Openly communicate to all Fairmont Gold colleagues to enhance overall guest experience
  • Ensuring that no items are placed in the corridor at any time
  • Responsible for Evening Refresh service and ensuring all standards and expectations are met
  • May be responsible for placing guest preference items in rooms prior to arrival or upon request through direct conversation with guest
  • Other duties as assigned by leaders

Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Proficient in English language
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Has achieved a 90% or higher average on monthly audits
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Must be able to work weekends, shift work, holidays

Physical Aspects of Position include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to push or pull objects up to 50 lbs
  • Working above shoulder height is required
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
