Requirements
Responsibilities
● Manage end-to-end accounting for Australian clients
● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
● Perform bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations
● Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
● Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
● Manage month-end and year-end closing activities
● Finalize books of accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records
● Prepare workpapers and supporting schedules for year-end compliance and tax requirements
● Prepare and review BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements)
● Ensure GST compliance and reconciliations
● Assist in payroll processing and superannuation reconciliations
● Prepare management reports, cash flow reports, and financial analysis
● Coordinate with Australian accountants, tax agents, and clients for reporting requirements
● Work extensively on Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and other cloud-based accounting software
● Review accounting records, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
● Mentor junior team members and review their work for accuracy and compliance
