Job Description
The Customer Success Analyst – Emerging Brands is an experienced insights and customer success professional with a passion for FMCG, emerging brands, and creating compelling, data-driven analysis in a fast-paced commercial environment.
This role partners closely with the Emerging Brands Leadership Team and cross-functional stakeholders to develop strategic content, identify growth opportunities, and improve the overall customer experience. The analyst combines advanced analytical capabilities with strong storytelling skills to translate complex market data into actionable recommendations that support prospecting, customer engagement, product evolution, and business growth.
The Customer Success Analyst also serves as a key contributor to internal initiatives, helping socialize product enhancements, improve data quality awareness, and represent the Voice of the Customer in product and hierarchy development discussions.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Strategic Partnership
- Partner closely with the Emerging Brands Leadership Team to prioritize, scope, and deliver high-impact analytical content that supports trade collateral, prospecting activities, proposals, customer presentations, and joint business planning sessions.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand evolving business priorities and deliver timely, value-added insights.
- Act as a trusted advisor by translating business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
- Support the NIQ mission of becoming the preferred measurement partner for Emerging Brands through high-quality insight generation and customer-focused deliverables.
Advanced Data Analysis & Insight Development
- Analyze NIQ datasets and syndicated solutions to identify emerging consumption trends, shopper behaviors, market opportunities, and category dynamics.
- Connect market trends to customer pain points and business opportunities within the Emerging Brands portfolio.
- Develop strategic analyses that quantify market opportunities and support customer acquisition, retention, and growth initiatives.
- Leverage multiple NIQ solutions, including The Full View, OmniShopper, Strategic Planner Global, Nielsen Product Insider, and Advanced Analytics, to provide comprehensive business recommendations.
Insight Delivery & Data Storytelling
- Develop compelling PowerPoint presentations and analytical materials that communicate complex findings in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner.
- Create impactful visualizations and data-driven stories tailored to diverse audiences, including internal leadership, commercial teams, and prospective customers.
- Ensure deliverables maintain a high standard of quality, consistency, and commercial relevance.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Product Support
- Lead internal workstreams in partnership with Product, Operations, Customer Success, and Account Leadership to assess, communicate, and socialize Product Enhancements, Market Enhancements, and Data Quality Alerts.
- Build business cases that support changes to syndicated product coding and category hierarchy based on Emerging Brands Voice of Customer feedback, governance board requests, and hierarchy backlog priorities.
- Collaborate across functional teams to improve internal processes, product adoption, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives by documenting best practices and developing training materials when new processes or enhancements are introduced.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Support onboarding and enablement activities related to Emerging Brands products, services, and analytical capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal workflows, reporting processes, and analytical methodologies.
- Maintain a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives that strengthen NIQ's position as the trusted insights partner for Emerging Brands.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Advanced studies or certifications in Market Research, Business Analytics, or Customer Success are considered a plus.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Customer Success, Market Research, FMCG, Retail, Commercial Analytics, Consulting, or related analytical roles.
- Experience working with syndicated market measurement data and customer-facing analytical projects is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to synthesize large datasets into meaningful business insights.
- Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills with advanced PowerPoint visualization capabilities.
- Deep understanding of FMCG performance metrics, including ACV, TDP, Household Penetration, Buying Rate, Base vs. Incremental Volume, Share, Distribution, and Velocity metrics.
- Extensive knowledge of NIQ solutions and datasets, including The Full View, OmniShopper, Strategic Planner Global, Nielsen Product Insider, and Advanced Analytics.
- Ability to independently manage projects with evolving priorities and ambiguous business questions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading internal initiatives and collaborating across Product, Operations, Commercial, and Customer Success organizations.
- High level of accountability, ownership, and execution focus.
- Passion for supporting Emerging Brands and contributing to customer success.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining a strategic business perspective.
- Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration within multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Professional English proficiency (C1 or above) required.
