LDD Teacher AY2026-2027

GEMS British International School Madinty is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Disabilities Teacher (LDD) for the academic year 2026-2027. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with learning disabilities to achieve their full potential through tailored instruction and collaboration with educators, parents, and specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify the learning needs of students with learning disabilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) that address students' unique challenges and goals
• Provide specialized teaching and support that promote academic progress and social-emotional development
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate effective strategies and accommodations into mainstream classrooms
• Maintain detailed records on student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed
• Engage with parents and caregivers to foster collaboration and support for students' learning journeys
• Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices in special education

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience specifically supporting students with learning disabilities
• Strong knowledge of learning disabilities and evidence-based teaching strategies
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
• Patience, empathy, and dedication to supporting diverse learners
• Relevant teaching certification or specialization in learning disabilities is a plus
