Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Coordinator to join our team at the Laredo Terminal. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including billing, collections, and payment tracking
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice entry, verification, and vendor payments
- Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist with time sheet tracking and processing for payroll support
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Perform general administrative tasks to support accounting and office operations
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting as needed
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the same or related field
- Knowledge of AR/AP processes and invoicing
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
- Experience with Workday is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
